WARAQ · PRACTICAL GUIDE
Create PDF certificates from Excel names
After a course or event, turn the same name list into an individual certificate for each participant. Start with a ready certificate or your own PDF, and map Excel columns to fields instead of typing every name separately.
Previews and sample Excel sheets are free. Generate the new completion certificate with Pro or a $0.99 one-task credit, within task limits.

From a name list to individual certificates
These fictional rows illustrate the completion certificate. Each row produces one certificate. Keep the English column headers unchanged, including for the Arabic template.
| Name | Organization | Event | Hours | Instructor | Date | Reference |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Noor Ali | Example Studio | Communication skills | 6 | Sam Hassan | 2026-11-05 | WRQ-001 |
| Sam Taylor | Example Studio | Communication skills | 6 | Sam Hassan | 2026-11-05 | WRQ-002 |

How to create certificates from Excel
- Choose a completion, participation or appreciation certificate and its language. Add your logo and colors when opening the template in the workspace.
- Download the matching Excel workbook. Replace the sample rows, keep headers in the first row and read the Instructions sheet for required fields.
- Add Excel to the template. Ready templates are pre-mapped; for your own PDF, map columns to fields or text positions.
- Preview the first row and check long names and data before generation. Download the ZIP and review certificates before distributing them.
Three cases to review
| Case | What to do |
|---|---|
| Long name | Ready templates reduce font size within the field. A message appears if the text still cannot fit. Inspect the name before sending. |
| Empty Name cell | Complete the required cell in Excel. Waraq checks required data before generating ready templates. |
| Duplicate participant | Check the registration list or use Excel cleaning with an appropriate identifier. A repeated name is not always an error. |
How many certificates can you generate?
A $0.99 one-task credit allows up to 50 documents generated from Excel. Subscription limits depend on the plan. Previewing uses no credit; generation counts when execution starts.
