Arabic OCR: extract text from images and PDFs
If words in your PDF cannot be selected or copied, its pages may be images. Use OCR to read Arabic writing and turn it into text you can review and edit, without uploading the document to a server.
Free without an account, up to 10 selected pages per operation. Accuracy depends on image quality.

How to extract Arabic text
- Open OCR and add a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP image. Select up to 10 pages for the operation.
- Choose Arabic for Arabic writing or Arabic and English for mixed documents. Select the document language, not the interface language.
- Start recognition and wait for completion. Language files load from Waraq on first use; processing runs on your device.
- Review the text in the editing area, then download TXT or Word. Compare names, digits and dates with the original.

How can you improve scan quality?
Use a sharp image with even lighting and no glare or shadows over the writing. Rotate the page upright and crop only the outer margins. Enlarging a blurry image does not restore missing character detail.

OCR aims to produce editable text. Columns, tables and spacing may differ from the scan; handwriting and faint pages have no guaranteed accuracy. For invoice fields in a spreadsheet, use the dedicated workflow instead of copying the entire text manually.
